Sparrowhawk spotted on the bird feeders….

21st September 2018

One of our keen eyed park owners spotted this sparrowhawk on one of the bird feeders at the park. Being located in close proximity to Leighton Moss, we get often get interesting visitors on the park, making us a favourite with birdwatchers!

Leighton Moss is the largest reedbed in north-west England, and home to some really special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers. There are a selection of trails and hides, most of which are accessible to wheelchairs, and get right to the heart of the reedbed. There are nature trails alongside two coastal lagoons to see  wading and water birds.

We are lucky to have such a fantastic reserve on our doorstep.  For more information, visit The RSPB Leighton Moss
